Once you've reviewed a recommendation, you take an action on it. Every action is recorded — who did it, when, and why.
Actions available
| Action | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Approve | You've decided to act on the recommendation |
| Reject | The recommendation isn't right for your situation |
| Defer | You want to revisit it later |
| Complete | You've carried out the action and it's done |
How to take an action
- Go to Recommendations and click the recommendation you want to act on.
- The detail view shows supporting data, formula, and estimated savings.
- Select your action from the buttons at the bottom.
- Add an optional note explaining your reasoning.
- For Complete, you can enter the actual savings amount if it differs from the estimate.
- Click Confirm.
Role requirements
Approve, reject, and complete require the Owner, Admin, or Finance role. Viewers and IT members can read recommendations but cannot act on them.
The Decisions dashboard
Go to Decisions in the sidebar to see the status of all acted-on recommendations:
- Counter cards by status (Pending / Approved / Rejected / Deferred / Completed)
- Total accepted savings — sum of savings from all completed recommendations
- Filter by owner to see who's driving decisions
Savings tracking
When you complete a recommendation, Nagata records the accepted savings amount. You can use Nagata's estimate or override it with the actual number you negotiated.
Accepted savings appear on the dashboard and in the audit report.
